The Beaches Museum and History Park hosts Marietta for a “Boardwalk Talk” in the Museum Chapel. For a beachcomber, it doesn’t get any better than this. While she will discuss the heart and soul of emptying the beloved family home at 1203, Marietta will dig deep into the chapter titled “The Messenger Bag,” sharing ocean tales from Virginia Beach—stories from 1940 stretching into the present. As she happily admits in the book: “Inhaling ocean air leaves me tipsy.” Attendees bring your questions, stories, and zest for a good time. Signed copies of Leaving 1203 will be available for purchase.
